Overview

Restoran Bintang Kemuning, nestled in the heart of Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam, offers a distinctive take on classic Chinese noodle dishes with a touch of local flavors. Specializing in Chinese noodles, this eatery brings forward a diverse menu that includes standout items such as Hokkien Fried Mee Mee, Spring Onion Ginger Beef Keow Teow, and Sang Har Mee, each crafted to satisfy the craving for comforting, authentic flavors.

The space itself is unpretentious, embodying a casual dining atmosphere that welcomes both families and working professionals seeking a hearty meal after a long day. The location at Jln Anggerik Vanilla is easy to find, making it a convenient spot for those in the Selangor region looking for a reliable Chinese noodle restaurant with halal options.

What sets Restoran Bintang Kemuning apart is its commitment to freshness and generous portions, as echoed by many patrons. Their signature beef noodles, available in both dry and wet styles, consistently draw praise for their rich flavors and satisfying textures, although occasional inconsistencies with wok hei—the elusive smoky char from high-heat stir-frying—have been noted. The inclusion of dishes like Aglio Olio Spaghetti and Nasi Lemak with Half Boiled Egg King showcases the kitchen’s versatility, blending different culinary influences without losing the essence of their primary focus.

Customers appreciate the balanced seasoning and freshness of ingredients, which elevate classics such as the Cantonese Fried Noodles and Hokkien Bee Hoon. Drinks like Teh C and cold lemongrass infusion complement the meal well, providing refreshing contrasts to the bold, savory notes of the mains. While some menu items like Thai sauce fuchuk and roti bakar have received mixed feedback, the overall experience maintains a positive impression.

Restoran Bintang Kemuning targets diners who seek halal Chinese cuisine that does not compromise on authenticity or flavor depth. The kitchen's careful attention to detail in the preparation of dishes like the Bintang Fried Rice and Atuk Beef Fried Rice ensures a satisfying experience for noodle lovers and rice aficionados alike. Whether stopping by for a late-night craving or a casual lunch, diners can expect a hearty serving of comfort food in a straightforward setting.

In summary, Restoran Bintang Kemuning successfully bridges traditional Chinese cooking techniques with the needs of its local clientele, delivering a menu rich in flavor and diversity. Its location, warm service, and flavorful dishes make it a noteworthy destination for anyone in the Shah Alam area looking for substantial and halal-friendly Chinese noodle fare.

The standard has dropped a bit. Used to be extremely good. Now the dry beef noodle tends to be a bit overcooked and lacking a bit of the flame taste (wok hei). But overall, still consider good.

Just came back from KLIA and had the cravings for Chinese food and this more than satisfied it. Very few places can serve halal Chinese food with such flavor. Both the dry and wet beef kway teow was so good and hit all the right spots! Very generous with the portions and meat too. Thanks chef for the lovely late night dinner.

My friend love the beef kuey tiaw , for me i think the wok hei is not enough. The thai sauce fuchuk is just okay, can be better if as the filling taste alot flour and less fish paste. The roti bakar is too dry, and the drinks too watery.

Excellent "wet" Beef Noodles (item N2 on the menu). Generous portions and it tastes great. The prices are a bit on the high side... But the food makes it worth every penny! The cold lemongrass infusion drink was excellent. The Prawn Noodles and the Singapore Mee Hoon were also nice as well. But overall, and by far, my favourite dish at Bintang Kemuning is the Beef Noodles.

Both beef keuy tiew is filled with wok hei and served with lots of beef slices for RM12!! Taste so satisfying for a pork-free restaurant. Tried their kopi c kosong too, the taste is definitely very “kao”. The shop is clean, check-in process is in order and the staffs are very polite. Will definitely come back again for more goodies
